Starlight Fields

Creating a compelling Milky Way image depends on many factors. Clear skies are ideal, but sometimes even an approaching veil of clouds can add something unexpected. This image was particularly challenging due to both cloud cover and light pollution, yet it became one of my favorites—perhaps because of that very difficulty.

Captured as a single exposure from one spot in our lower field, the depth and color were carefully revealed through post-processing. If you’re drawn to images with a sense of mystery and atmosphere, this piece may speak to you.
